See Typical and Available Items for Sale

The ReStore supplies overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. These donated items are sold to the public or used in construction of Habitat homes. All revenue from sales support our building program.

Reuse: Restore can provide an alternative and cost effective means for disposal of workable and useable items that might be thrown away needlessly. We commonly rreceive donations from our friends at local retail building material stores, pallets of  new wood flooring that has been discontinued (engineered, solid, and laminate), and pallets of  tiles (flooring, wall, ceramic, marble, glazed, and special orders). Each week our inventory changes and may include doors, windows, blinds, wood furniture, lighting, and used appliances.

We generally offer these materials at 50% - 80% off the suggested retail prices. Because of this, items move fast. ReStore is also a good place find those rare retro items  that you can't find anywhere else

ReBuild:  We usually have a steady inventory of used materials including: doors,  windows, plumbing fixtures, kitchen cabinets, vanities, wood furniture, framed mirrors, insulation, hardware, roofing materials, bed frames, stereos, light fixtures, finish trim, rough framing wood and just about any product that can be utilized in a building project.

To see a list of acceptable items for donation, visit ReStore Donations. We hope to receive them in clean, working order, and can do some light cleaning and removal of nails to make them safe for display and sale.

ReStore Policies:  We love appliances that work well. Please be considerate and only donate ones in good working order. We want to sell our products with a high expectation they will work for our valued patrons. Because everything is sold "as is" and all sales are final. Only rare exceptions are made with offers of store credit if an appliance doesn't work. We take these items in good faith, and sell them on the same basis. We do test the electric appliances before they are sold.

We offer these courtesies to our patrons. If you find an item you really like, but are not exactly sure it will work for you, you can fill out a hold tag, and we will honor the hold for 24 hours, at no charge. Second, if you find an item, and you are absolutely sure you want it, but can't take it with you that day, you can pay for it, fill out a sold tag, and arrange to pick it up within 7 days. After that time, the tags come off, and the items become available for resale. The only exception is when arrangements are made for us to deliver (for a $35 charge in the Greater Portland area) any items at the time of the sale.

Finally, once an item is priced, the price is firm. That makes it fair for everyone. We offer our items at remarkable discounts, and our prices are set as firmly so that we can support our mission of eliminating poverty housing in Greater Portland.
