Volunteer to Build Homes

Volunteers are the heart of our organization and help us to carry out our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We welcome anyone over the age of 16 and no experience is necessary to volunteer.

Individuals

Individuals over 16 years old are welcome at our construction site typically on Fridays and Saturday. Create an account and fill out an application on our new volunteer system to view our schedule and sign up!

Corporate Groups

Create an unforgettable team building day while making a difference in your community! Corporate groups of up to 12 people are welcome to build Wednesday through Saturday.

Gather up to 12 people and spend a day together building homes! Opportunities are mostly on Saturdays, but other days may be available.

Volunteer at the ReStore

The ReStore sells gently used and new building materials, furniture, light fixtures, appliances, and more. All proceeds benefit the construction of Habitat homes here in Cumberland County.

All volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Greater Portland ReStore

We're located at 659 Warren Ave in Portland and open Wednesday through Saturday from 10-5.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteer assistance in the ReStore might include cleaning, organizing, and moving donations; assisting customers; receiving donated merchandise; and much more!
