Volunteer to Build Homes

Volunteers are the heart of our organization and help us to carry out our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.  We welcome anyone over the age of 16 and no experience is necessary to volunteer. See  the options below to learn how to volunteer on the construction site.

ReStore Volunteers

The ReStore sells gently used and new building materials, furniture, light fixtures, appliances, and more. All proceeds benefit the construction of Habitat homes here in Cumberland County.

Individuals

Individuals over 16 years old are welcome at our construction site typically on Fridays and Saturdays. Create an account and fill out an application on our new volunteer system to view our schedule and sign up!

Corporate Groups

Create an unforgettable team building day while making a difference in your community! Corporate groups of up to 12 people are welcome to build Wednesday through Saturday.

Community Groups

Gather up to 12 people and spend a day together building homes! Opportunities are mostly on Saturdays, but other days may be available.

Women Build

Women Build is a movement that unites and empowers women to collectively make an impact on affordable housing in the communities where we work and live! Be part of our special build days, celebrating women’s strength and making a positive difference in our communities. Fundraise to build affordable homes and fund repairs for low-income families in Greater Portland.
