What is Women Build?
Women Build is a movement that unites and empowers women to collectively make an impact on affordable housing in the communities where we work and live. This fall for several weeks at a time, we’ll be hosting a special series of build days celebrating the strength of women. While Women Build is focused on the inclusion of women in the work of building homes, the initiative does not exclude volunteers of any gender or gender identity nor does it promote discrimination of any kind. Registration is currently open for our fall Women Build, happening October 19-November 8.
How to Join
You can join Women Build by volunteering, sponsoring, or both! All volunteer days during Women Build will take place at our South Portland construction site. Volunteers are asked to contribute to our $60,000 fundraising goal either through their individual fundraising efforts or through a corporate sponsorship. Not interested in volunteer slots but want to get involved? Become a sponsor to still contribute to the cause!
Individuals
Want to see what Women Build is all about? Come by yourself or grab a friend and join us for a volunteer day while helping to raise funds for affordable housing in our community.
Corporate Involvement
Gather 6-12 people from your workplace for a corporate build event, or solely contribute to our fundraising goal with a sponsorship.
